Temporary Full-Time Sexually Transmitted Blood Borne Community Health Nurse

Salary Range: $82,591.60 - $98,079.80

Hours of Work: 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, Company Vehicle provided.

(July 2025- July 2026)

The STBBI Community Health Nurse is responsible for the delivery of Sexual Health services within the Battle River Treaty 6 Health Centre communities this includes sexual health outreach services which include testing, treatment, preventative education, counselling, support, and harm reduction services, this includes working one day a week at the Battlefords Sexual Health clinic.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor of Science in Nursing

· Registered Nurse in good standing (or eligible to become registered) with College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan

· Minimum 3 years in community health nursing experience in First Nations community an asset.

· Demonstrate an understanding of the health and social issues facing First Nations people.

· Good understanding of population health principles and concepts

· Must be able to work as an effective team member and to work independently, in a self- motivated manner.

· Excellent interpersonal communication skills

· Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal

· Must possess a valid driver’s license.

· Previous working experience with First Nations people and demonstrate an understanding of the health and social issues encountered by First Nation people and a willingness to learn about and accept First Nations cultures.

· Must provide a clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector.

· Must be computer literate.
