Mental Health Navigator
Reporting directly to the Wellness Prevention Supervisor, this position provides client-centered support to individuals accessing mental health and addiction services. This Mental Health Navigator focuses on helping individuals identify their needs, navigate available services, reduce barriers to care, and improve overall wellbeing through culturally safe, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approaches. This position supports clients and their families navigate through and understand their rights in the various mental health and addictions systems, including the courts and health systems. This includes an understanding of the Saskatchewan Mental Health legislation and the Compassionate Intervention Act.
Primary Care Registered Nurse
Reporting directly to the Director of Community Based Health Services, the Primary Care Registered Nurse position is central to improving health outcomes for First Nations communities. This position provides accessible, culturally safe, and holistic primary care services that respect both Western and Indigenous approaches to wellness in the communities serviced by Battle River Treaty 6 Health Centre.
Clinical Assistant
The Community Based Health Services Clinical Assistant is part of a multidisciplinary team that provides client focused, family centered care, to individual's families and communities of BRT6HC. The Clinical Assistant shall be responsible for providing clinical support to the Physicians, Nurse Practitioner and other health professionals at BRT6HC. This includes medical office assistant duties, including reception, booking appointments, recording vitals and general office duties. This position reports to the Director of Community Based Health Services.
Community Nutritionist
Position Summary: Guided by our core values of Courage, Humility, Trust, Honesty, Wisdom, Respect, and Love, this position plays a vital role in promoting health, preventing chronic disease, and supporting community wellness. Reporting to the Director of Community Based Health Services, the Community Nutritionist is responsible for the development, implementation, and day-to-day delivery of community-based nutrition programs. These programs include prenatal and postnatal nutrition services, as well as chronic disease prevention and management initiatives with a focus on diabetes care and education. This role supports individuals, families, and communities by providing education, counseling, and culturally appropriate programming.
Casual Receptionist
The primary responsibility of the Casual Receptionist is to provide excellent customer service in response to individuals with inquiries both on the phone and face to face. The Casual Receptionist will also be responsible for providing clerical and administrative support to the Administration Team. Employee must be available on short notice for call-in basis as needed. Scheduled shifts will also be available. Hourly wage of $22.59-$26.84 depending on experience and qualifications
Permanent Full Time Cultural Program Clerk
Report directly to the Cultural Program Manager, the Cultural Program Clerk provides clerical, administrative, and reception support to cultural programming and community initiatives while supporting culturally grounded services for member First Nations.
Cultural Program Elder
Report directly to the Cultural Program Manager, the In-House Elder will be responsible, as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, for providing Cultural services and advisory of various First Nations teachings, language, customs, procedures, and protocols related to family systems. The Cultural Program Elder will provide individual and group support and education to families receiving services from the Cultural Programs.
Permanent Full Time Healthy Families Program Supervisor
The Healthy Families Program Supervisor will work under the general guidance of the Executive Director and under the direct supervision of the Director of Healthy Families Program on matters related to the development, implementation, and day to day operations of the Healthy Families Program. The Healthy Families Program Supervisor provides direct supervision to the Early Childhood Outreach Coordinator, Support Worker and Jordan’s Principle Service Coordinators.
Permanent Full Time Wellness Counsellor/Case Manager
As part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, utilizing an outreach approach, the goal of the Case Manager is to support clients in recovery as well as in their relationship with the RAAM multidisciplinary team. The Case manager provides addiction counselling and treatment support to the target population of those who are accessing services from the RAAM (Rapid Access Addictions Medicine) clinic; at risk for HIV /Hep C, have difficulty engaging or have disengaged from care, and may be active in opioid substance use (primarily through injection drug use); primary site is the RAAM clinic and Wellness Department.
Jordan's Principle Service Coordinator
The Jordan’s Principle Service Coordinator will provide enhanced service coordination to children and their families living with disabilities or complex medical needs on and off reserve. The coordinator will work collaboratively with the BRT6HC communities and the partnering organizations. This Child First initiative will ensure children and their families have access to the health and social services they need, when they need them. The Jordans Principle Service Coordinator will ensure that they advocate so families do not experience denials, delays or disruptions of services due to jurisdictional disputes.
