Permanent Full-Time Community Nutritionist

Registered Dietician - 6 Step Salary Range: $72,545.20 -$86,158.80

Registered Dietician with Diabetes Educator Certification:6 Step Salary Range: $75,985.00 - $90,253.80

Qualifications

·        Bachelor of Science in Nutrition (or equivalent) with accredited internship.

·        Registration with the Saskatchewan Dietitians Association and Dietitians of Canada

·        Certified Diabetes Educator (preferred or willingness to take the course).

·        Minimum of 2 years of community nutrition or public health experience preferred.

·        Strong understanding of community health, prevention, and program development.

·        Must be able to work as an effective team member and ability to work independently and develop innovative programming.

·        Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

·        Willingness to travel within communities; valid Class 5 driver'slicense required.

·        Combination of office, community, and outreach work; may be asked to work flexible hours, with occasional evenings and weekends.

·        Previous working experience with First Nations people and demonstrate an understanding of the health & social issues encountered by First Nation people.

·        Willingness to learn about and accept First Nations cultures. Knowledgeof Plains Cree Language is a definite asset.

·        Must provide a clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector.

·        Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word,PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel) Publisher, and technological platforms such as Microsoft Teams, etc.
