Here at Battle River Treaty 6 Health Centre, we at the Healthy Families Program department strive to provide wholistic and culturally appropriate programming to families, individuals and to build capacity to support communities.

We are here to provide inclusive and trauma informed services. If we cannot meet your needs, we will do our best to find the resources for you.

Program & Service Overview

The Healthy Families Programs department services clients from prenatal to 18 years of age.  We provide services and programming that are designed to encourage & instill pride in our culture, language, traditions, and Nehiyaw ways of knowing.  


The Healthy Families Program Department consists of the following:

  • Family Health Workers
  • School based dental program - Dental Therapist/Supervisor & Dental Assistant
  • Children’s Oral Health Initiative-COHI/Dental Aide
  • Jordan’s Principle- Jordan’s Principle Service Coordinator
  • Daycare Support, Monitoring & Licensing
  • Head Start Home Visitors
  • Head Start Home Visitor/Support Work
  • Early Childhood Development Outreach Coordinator
  • Cultural Facilitator
  • Car Seat Program
