Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is in good standing with CLPNS.

• Minimum three (3) years of community health nursing experience; experience working in a First Nations community is considered an asset.

• Demonstrated understanding of the health and social issues affecting First Nations people and communities.

• Knowledge of population health principles, health promotion, and disease prevention concepts.

• Experience working with First Nations clients and families, with a commitment to cultural safety, humility, and ongoing learning about First Nations cultures, traditions, and perspectives.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team in a self-motivated and professional manner.

•  Strong advocacy, problem-solving, and client-centered care skills.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including documentation and reporting abilities.

• Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office applications and electronic documentation systems.

• Valid Class 5 driver's license.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.

• Must provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Check.

• Experience navigating the Saskatchewan healthcare system, including Saskatchewan Health Authority services and Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB).

Competitive 6 Step Salary Range: $61,388.60 - $72,891.00 Hours of Work: 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, Company Vehicle provided
