The Emergency Management Coordinator will work under the general guidance of the Executive Director of  BRT6HC. Program direction oversight and clinical supervision will be managed by the Director of Community Based Health Services. The EMC shall apply knowledge, skills and professional judgment as it relates to the position. The EMC will be expected to consult/refer as necessary.  

QUALIFICATIONS  

• Possess a relevant diploma or degree in Emergency Management or possess equivalent work experience, training, and education.  

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of per nent, proven field experience.  

• Excellent verbal and written communiction skills and demonstrated organiztional skills, with an emphasis on collaborative problem solving.  

• Instructor training in First Aid/CPR and/or First Responders is an asset.  

• Occupational Health and Safety training is considered an asset.  

• Familiarity with Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency operations is considered an asset.  

• Familiarity with Emergency Response Codes  

• Ability to work under pressure, independently, and in a team environment and with flexible hours as workload demands.  

• High level of confidetiality, personal and professional integrity  

• Proficient with computers, i.e., Microsoft Office 2010, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and SharePoint, Microso Teams.  

• Experience working with a First Nations organization and familiarity with First Nations culture, history and governance is considered an asset; and a willingness to learn about and accept First Nations culture.  

• Must provide a current Canadian Criminal Record Check (CPIC)  

• Must possess a valid Saskatchewan driver’s license and meet BRT6HC’s insurance requirements.  

• Must be willing to travel, work flexible hours, evenings, and weekends, and to perform other related duties as required or assigned.

Competitive 6-step salary range $63,172.20 - 75,020.40
