KidsFirst

Program Overview

KidsFirst Battlefords is a voluntary program that helps parents become the best parents they can be. Our goal is that all children enjoy the best start in life and are nurtured by caring families and communities.

Home visitors bring current information on pregnancy and early childhood that can help you make the best decisions about caring for your new baby and family. During visits we can talk about what you want for yourself and your family and help you find ways to get there.

Healthy eating for pregnant and breastfeeding moms is encouraged with monthly vouchers with visits. KidsFirst can connect families with community services and assist with transportation in certain areas. Counsellors for mental wellness and sexual health are also available.

KidsFirst also facilitates two programs throughout the year. Both groups use stories, songs, and activities geared for specific age groups to promote fun and learning between children and their caregivers.

Circle of Learning

Toddler Activity Group (TAG)
