Program Overview

The Sexual Health Team is a partnership between Battlefords Family Health Centre, Battle River Treaty 6 Health Centre Inc., and Saskatchewan Health Authority, open since May 2000.

Battlefords Sexual Health Clinic provides services that focus on prevention, health promotion, counselling, screening, diagnosis, and treatment of sexually transmitted infections, as well as patient and family support for HIV.  Community Health and Public Health Nurses, along with harm reduction outreach staff are available for the following services:

  • Testing and treatment of sexually transmitted infections
  • HIV testing
  • Pregnancy testing
  • Harm Reduction: includes the distribution of safer injection and inhalation equipment, education on safe disposal and use of supplies.
  • Naloxone Kits: Provide kits, along with training on how to use.
  • Birth control counselling and education
  • Sexual health counselling
  • Preventative Education and supports
  • Patient and family support for HIV and Hepatitis C
  • Condom distribution

Tuesday: 1:00pm – 4:30pm

Wednesday: 1:00pm – 4:30pm

Thursday: 10:00am - 12:00pm, 1:00pm – 4:30pm
