Permanent Full Time Healthy Families Program Supervisor

Knowledge And Experience Required:
- Provide day to day support and supervision to the Head Start, Early Childhood Outreach Coordinator, Jordan's Principle Service Coordinators, and Support staff to ensure effective and efficient delivery of programs as outlined in the Healthy Families Program Strategic and Operations Plan.
- Ability to collaborate & coordinate the nursing assessments with the nurses & home visitor for assignments
- Ability to provide support and direction on individual cases
- Provide supervision to individual home visitors, reviewing client care plans, and revieing month-end reports
- Collaborate and coordinate with other professionals and agencies in the delivery of services to pre- and post-natal clients
- Identify ongoing training needs of the Maternal Child Health Program staff and assist in providing staff training and development as appropriate
- Maintain records and collect data for evaluation and planning as required, and submit
- Knowledge about Jordan's Principle and its purose
Qualifications:
- Posses either a bachelor's degree in Human Services or an equivalent combination of experience and education
- Knowledge and experience as a supervisor are an asset
- Knowledge of methodologies and experience with in-home services
- Extensive knowledge and experience working with parents and families
- knowledge and experience in teamwork, interagency, and interdisciplinary approaches
- Knowledge of community resources
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Ability to speak Cree is an asset
- Ability to travel and work flexible hours
- Previous working experience with First Nations people and demonstrate an understanding of the health and social issues encountered by First Nations people, and a willingness to learn and accept First Nations cultures
