Permanent Full-Time Adult Wellness Counsellor
Registered SocialWorker/Professional Counsellor Role and Requirements:
· Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related disciplines; Preference will be given to those registered or eligible to register with a professional licensing body such as SASW or FNWACCB
· Assist clients in addressing emotional, psychological, and relationship difficulties utilizing a range of counselling methods and models.
· Knowledge in both mental health and addiction services.
· Understandtrauma and violence-informed services
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn electronic medical record systems
· Good communication skills, both written and verbal
· Demonstrates First Nations cultural sensitivity by applying respectful knowledge and understanding of traditional First Nations values, beliefs, languages, and holistic healing approaches in professional practice.
· Ability to adhere to confidentiality guidelines.
· Must havea valid driver’s license.
· Must provide a criminal record with the vulnerable sector.
· Demonstrate an understanding of the health and social issues encountered by First Nation people and a willingness to learn about and accept First Nations cultures.
BRT6HC works a 35-hourweek and has a competitive compensation package.
