Battlefords Family Health Centre - Senior Finance Officer
Battlefords Family Health Centre, located in downtown North Battleford is seeking applications for a Senior Finance Officer for 28 hours per week. Competitive 6 Step Salary Grid - $34.71 - $41.22 hourly.
The Finance and Operations team members are responsible for ensuring an efficient and effective administrative support system for the operations of Battlefords Family Health Centre, therefore the Senior Finance Officer will be expected to work in a team environment.
General Accounting Responsibilities and Duties include the following but are not limited to:
· Manage and maintain accurate records for all daily transactions, code, record, and payment processing.
· Process and maintain purchase order system, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
· Process and reconcile all expense related reports.
· Code income receipts, direct deposit, and prepare bank deposits.
· Prepare and input journal entries.
· Preparing weekly cheque runs, EFT and direct deposit runs.
Qualifications
• Post-Secondary Diploma in accounting or bookkeeping
• Enrolled in a post-secondary diploma program in accounting or bookkeeping combined with several years of experience as a finance or accounting clerk
• Enrolled in a professional accounting program (i.e. Canadian Payroll Association, Aboriginal Finance Officer Association, etc.) is an asset
• Previous work experience with Sage300 (General Ledger, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Purchase Orders)
• Demonstrates knowledge of the full accounting cycle, excellent problem solver and possess strong communication skills
• Advanced Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office and technological platforms such as Microsoft Teams
• Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of traditional Indigenous values, beliefs and healing approaches and a willingness to learn about and accept First Nations Cultures
• Incumbent can demonstrate agency values in the work they do daily with BRT6HC First Nations communities, clients, and co-workers
• High degree of confidentiality is essential
• A successful criminal record check and a valid driver’s license
