Employee must be available on short notice for a call-in basis as needed. Scheduled shifts will also be available.

Reporting directly to the Office Manager, this position provides reception support and clerical support for the Battle River Treaty 6 Health Centre Team following established procedures. As the first point of contact, the optimal candidate will have exceptional customer service, attitude, and professionalism.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Certificate from a recognized business college combined with related work experience. Equivalencies will be considered.

· 2 years of experience in customer service or dealing with the public

· The ability to speak Cree is an asset.

· Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel), Publisher, and technological platforms such as Microsoft Teams, with a general aptitude for expanding use of software applications to enhance efficiencies.

· Demonstrated ability to manage highly sensitive information and documents, exercising confidentiality, discretion, good judgment, tact, courtesy, and diplomacy always.

· Demonstrate a high degree of flexibility and adaptability to balance the changing needs of the organization.

· Above average organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal skills, are required.

· Previous working experience with First Nations people and demonstrate an understanding of the health and social issues encountered by First Nations people, and a willingness to learn about and accept First Nations cultures.

· Ability to work in a team environment as an effective team player.

· Valid Class 5 driver's license.

· A successful criminal record check with the vulnerable sector.
