Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Responsible for administering the recruitment and selection strategy for the organization.
  • Administering the group insurance benefits, and group pension plans.
  • Work closely with agencies, employees and supervisors related to any duty to accommodate or Return to work arrangements.
  • Responsible for resolving grievances, labour relation disputes, and conducting workplace investigations.
  • Supports the research, analysis and tracking of HR metrics, key indicators, and reporting HR outcomes through the human resource system, monitoring new hires and terminations, evaluating exit interviews, etc.
  • Conduct regular reviews on employment standards and OH&S legislation to ensure BRT6HC is current and meeting legal requirements.
  • Searches for HR related training and learning development options for employees and supervisors.

Qualifications

  • Possess a degree/diploma in Business Administration, Commerce, or other related discipline with a major in human resources or an equivalent combination of directly related experience and training; with a minimum of three (3) to five(5) years related work experience.
  • A CharteredProfessional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation or working towards adesignation would be considered an asset.
  • Demonstratedexperience in developing and implementing human resource policies and programsincluding onboarding, recruitment, and benefit administration.
  • Thoroughknowledge of labour legislation and related employment standards.
  • Must beproficient with Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of traditional FirstNation values, beliefs and healing approaches and a willingness to learn aboutand accept First Nations cultures.
  • Demonstrates agency values in the work they do daily with BRT6HCFirst Nations communities, clients, and co-workers.
  • High degree of confidentiality is essential.
  • A successful criminal record check and a valid driver’s license
