Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree in education, social work or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of (3) years of experience with experience supervising others.
• Previous education and experience in management and program supervision.
• Demonstrates an understanding of the social determinates of health and how they may impact First Nations people.
• Knowledge and demonstrated application of community development practices.
• Demonstrated ability to handle highly sensitive information and documents exercising confidentiality, discretion, good judgement, and exercising tact, courtesy,     and diplomacy at all times.
• A successful criminal record check with vulnerable sector.
• Above average organizational and communication; both written and verbal skills; are required.
• Previous working experience with First Nations people and demonstrate an understanding of the health and social issues encountered by First Nation people and a willingness to learn about and accept First Nations cultures.
• Ability to work in a team environment as an effective team player.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel), Publisher, and Teams.
• Demonstrated ability to handle highly sensitive information and documents exercising confidentiality.
• A successful criminal record check with vulnerable sector.
